The Experience: Spirit + Soul Festival jazzes up downtown Richmond! Don’t miss the 17th anniversary of the Richmond Spirit and Soul Festival Saturday, August 29th from 12 – 5pm in Downtown Richmond. WHEN: Saturday, August 29, 1-5pm WHERE: MacDonald Ave @ Harbour Way (13th St) in Downtown Richmond WHAT: Richmond’s Main Street Initiative presents their 17th annual Spirit & Soul Festival! The Spirit & Soul festival activates downtown Richmond with fun activities and music for everybody. The Spirit & Soul Festival in its 17th year, is a free, community-centered cultural event that has become a tradition in Downtown Richmond. On Saturday August 29th, 12 pm – 5 pm the festival activates 6 blocks on Macdonald Avenue, transforming the street into a vibrant space for arts, culture, wellness, and community connection. As part of the festivities they will have Live Performances, a Classic Car Show, Health and Resource Hub, a buzzing Kid's Zone, and Games, Food and Beverage Pavilion, Artisan and Craft Vendors. Sierra Garcia of the San Francisco Estuary Institute takes us Urban Upstream, following pollutants from our streets and neighborhoods all the way to the Bay, and exploring what we can do about it. The Experience: Picnic on the Plaza! Hit the Village & get healthy on Sun, Aug 23 from 12-4pm. It’s a Health & Wellness-themed Picnic on the Plaza. Free Family fun and community dining on Antioch Ct.
