The Experience: Live Music with your Margarita! Fans rave about their Margaritas. The Experience, Alameda: Frank Bette Center for the Arts Plein Air Paintout

The Experience: Grab your paints and hit the Alameda shore! Hurry! Plein Air Paintout entry deadline: Monday, April 8, 2024! Join the Frank Bette 19th Annual Plein Air Paintout as it hosts 40 juried artists for a week of painting tree-lined streets; stately Victorian homes and shops; picturesque marinas; historic naval ships and naval air station; as well as beaches, lagoons, parks and San Francisco and Oakland skylines in the island city of Alameda. The week includes a welcome reception, a luncheon and a quick draw and an outdoor exhibit and sale of all the paintings on Saturday. A selection of the unsold paintings from the sale are exhibited and for sale in the Frank Bette Center for the Arts Gallery through September of 2024.

The Experience: Have a cocktail with your serenity! Walk into Ohana's cannabis cocktail bar where they are serving up delicious cocktails infused with THC (zero alcohol). They use a water-soluble tincture to get the best balanced drink. Guests can use the bar's tinctures or purchase their own. Knowledgable consultants will advise you as to dosing. And they are made fresh on the spot. You can choose your favorite  from their bar menu: Ohana Sunrise - made with fresh orange juice, pineapple and floated with grenadine Nasserati - Strawberry Puree & Lemonade Emeryville Mule - Lime Juice, Simple Syrup & Ginger Beer and the Pineapple Express - Mango & Passionfruit Puree with Pineapple Juice. Cocktails come in a standard dosage of 10 mg of THC; if your tolerance is a bit higher you can dose up to 50mg. The crafted cocktails are fast-acting and most customers feel effects anywhere between 15-20 minutes and always seem to leave happier than when they came in.

The Experience: Friday Night Rhythms on the Dock of the Bay! This Friday (April 5th) is the perfect time to dive into some of R&B Cellars' great red wines while noshing on tasty bites from Chef Frank Miller’s ‘pop up’ Kitchen Loft Menu. Meanwhile, you will be treated to some culturally rich and intricate sounds by the Brazilian East Bay Ensemble – BEBE. R&B Cellars has two Cabernet Sauvignons and two Pinot Noirs by the glass or bottle. Petite Syrahs, Syrahs, a Red Blend and several Zinfandels also by the glass or bottle. If you aren’t a red wine drinker, they also have Rose, White and Sparkling wines available. Chef Frank is serving all your favorite Wood-fired Pizzas!  These are 12" pizzas on their local honey and extra virgin olive oil dough. Fans rave about his Crispy Parmesan Brussel Sprouts tossed in shaved Paemigiano cheese with lemon and garlic butter! You can order his Burger, Loft Salad or Caesar Salad with tossed romaine hearts in a classic citrus Caesar dressing, croutons and shaved Parmesan-Reggiano cheese.
