The Experience, Richmond: Riggers Loft Wine Co Friday
The Experience:
Discover some new wines!
Warm up your evening on Friday, March 14th from 6-9pm at Riggers Loft and you will be treated to some great live music while you explore their wine options and find new favorites! A great way to kick off your weekend with well known guitarist Lee Waterman and All-Star musicians Tim Campbell (keys) from the band Malo and Gerry Kennett (drums), formerly with Beach Blanket Babylon. Together they’ll recreate the grooving sounds of great guitar/organ combos from the 60’s & 70’s; such bands as George Benson w/Jack McDuff and Wes Montgomery w/Jimmy Smith. The repertoire will include jazz classics, blues, and funky Latin grooves. Don’t miss out. $5 cover.
While sipping and vibing, enjoy some tasty bites from Chef Frank Miller’s pop-up Kitchen Loft. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Pizzas: All pizzas are 12″ pizza and on their local honey/extra virgin olive oil dough. Margherita, Roasted Veggie, Artisan Italian Sausage or Pepperoni and the Cote D’azur with shrimp and pesto. Gluten-free options are available upon request. Pop up also includes Loft House Salad, Caesar Salad and Crispy Brussel Sprouts tossed in shaved Parmigiano cheese with lemon juice and garlic butter. Yum. And of course, for Dessert: New Orleans Beignets.

The Experience, Alameda: Rhythmix Cultural Works Rising Seas
The Experience:
Calling all artists!
Our friends at Rhythmix Cultural Works (RCW) are seeking artists working in visual arts, movement, music, spoken word, and more, with an environmental focus to lead interactive workshops on climate change.
These workshops will host 20-25 seniors, families or formerly unhoused residents at one of three Alameda Housing Authority (AHA) locations. Fluency in Korean, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Spanish, or Arabic is a plus but not required.
Workshops will take place between April and May 2025, leading up to Rising Seas performances on May 31, June 21, and July 12. Artists will also be asked to provide creative hands-on activities for at least one of these live events.
Selected artists may be invited to exhibit in RCW’s K Gallery (June–August). A $500 stipend will be provided per workshop (stipend amount is inclusive of materials fees).
Application deadline is extended until tomorrow, March 7th.

Rising Seas is a site-specific multidisciplinary series of free live performances and public art events designed to increase awareness of the impact of rising sea levels and climate change on the island of Alameda.
