Grab your umbrella, put on your boots and join the folks at Urban Legend in their tasting room and wine studio. Enjoy a warm, cozy space, tasty food and delectable wine. It will be an afternoon of deliciousness.

On Saturday, March 2 De la Calle will be serving up Tacos, Burritos, Tostadas, Guacamole & chips &  Salsa & chips. And then on Sunday, March 3, Crazy Empanadas, the family-owned Columbian food truck, will have all kinds of empanadas –  beef, chicken, cheese, vegan, and if you are really hungry, get the Fries loaded with Beef and Pork Sausage, Cheese and House Special Sauce.

Wine. Sparkling, white, rose or red. Limited production and there’s always something distinctive.You can have a glass of wine or do a wine tasting. Reservations suggested, but walk-ins are always welcome. And don’t forget to pick up your Alameda Trail Guide!

The Experience, Alameda: The Preacher’s Daughter Wine Bar & Bistro Music

The Experience:

Old World wines meet R&B!

Step into the warmth of the Old World in a beautifully restored building that says ‘Alameda’. This unique wine bar & café named in honor of the owner Dianah Rodriguez’s father, is featuring The Lost Cats on Sunday, January 14 at 2pm. Cozy up to the bar and try a local or Old World wine and order one of their tasty flatbreads.

The Lost Cats will play jazz, both Latin and vintage, and rhythm and blues for two hours. You can get up and dance or just relax and listen. Band leader Jim Passard says, “I play this kind of music because I like the rhythm…and I play with great people and get to play some of my favorite songs.”

Not available Sunday? Join them for Happy Hour Tue-Fri from 3-6pm. Special pricing for snacks or order from the main menu of locally sourced ingredients.

The Preacher’s Daughter is proud to be a female and minority owned  enterprise featuring Old World wines, local craft beer, creative cocktails and third wave espresso, plus fresh pastries, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, flatbreads & more. Friday nights are for friends, laughs, and fresh brews! Join Faction Brewing for Laughs on Tap Friday, Nov 3 – where your glass is full, and your laughter is unlimited. Oh, and did we mention, this is their last comedy show of the year, so don’t miss out.

They are closing the season with one of the best acts of the year – Oakland’s Jay Rich & Friends.

The Oakland native Jay Rich has been a Bay Area fixture in the comedy scene for a decade. Jay is a regular at Tommy T’s in Pleasanton and has been featured on Chocolate Sundays. He’s charming, witty, and relatable. This is a show not to be missed.
