Bornday Party! Faction Brewing turns 13!

KXSF is throwing a joint birthday party with Faction Brewing  as they celebrate their 8^th birthday and Faction officially turns lucky 13. And mind you, they’re throwing a proper Bornday party. Join them out at the Alameda Point Saturday, September 26, from 12-9pm.

This will also be their release party for the first KXSF Live Mixtape featuring songs recorded during their KXSF Live sessions over the last year.

The Bornday Party will be full of cold beer, loud music, and a full day of bands.

• Thursday 7pm (Tonight!) | Ocean Hoptimism. Sierra Garcia of the San Francisco Estuary Institute takes us Urban Upstream, following pollutants from our streets and neighborhoods all the way to the Bay, and exploring what we can do about it. (free to attend)
• Friday 6-10pm | Groove is in the Start. An early-evening ‘80s dance party packed with Prince, Madonna, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Run DMC and more. Only a few tickets left and they’re online only. Get yours NOW.
• Sunday 11am-6pm | Cape & Cowl Con. Comics, artists, creators, costumes, cold beer, and our limited-edition Cape & Cowl Vol. 2 Helles Lager. POW! BANG! PSSSHHH! This one’s going to be lit! (free to attend)

A pint and great grill for Father’s Day!

Fresh beer and soccer matches aren’t the only things happening at Faction this week.  Check it out!

Thursday – Free Craft Night is back! Beaded rainbow fish & critters. All supplies provided, totally free, and all skill levels welcome.

Friday – Learn the art of soft pretzel making with Grainbakers. Twist, boil, bake, and leave with fresh pretzels and beer cheese. Tickets. More of a frosting person? Grainbakers is also hosting a cupcake decorating class. Leave with some beautifully decorated cupcakes and some new skills. Tickets.

Saturday – Bayou 2 The Bay brings seafood boils, live-fire steaks, cold beer, and city views to Faction. Not a bad way to kick off Father’s Day weekend. (@samarasoutherncreations for more information and links to tickets)

Sunday – The Alameda Record Swap returns from 11am-5pm. Bring Dad, buy him a pint, and help him dig for a few forgotten favorites.
