The Experience, Emeryville: Celebration of the Arts Opening Night @ Public Market Tomorrow!

The Experience:

Immerse yourself in the Art Scene!

Celebrate Emeryville’s vibrant arts community!

You are invited to Opening Night of Emeryville’s 39th Annual Art Exhibition Friday, October 3, 6-9pm at 5905 Shellmound St in the Public Market. This juried art exhibition produced by Celebration of the Arts, features more than 200 artworks created by over 140 artists and craftspeople who live or work in Emeryville. On opening night you get to meet the artists and get a first look at their artwork as you listen to music by The doRiaN Mode: Vintage Jazz & Blues. A no-host bar raises funds for the Emeryville Youth Art Program. It’s always an electrifying opening night as the community celebrates the city’s thriving collective creativity.

This Annual Art Exhibition showcases the depth of talent and diverse artistic expression of both emerging and established artists. And now, the City of Emeryville has designated October 2025 as Arts & Culture Month and the 39th Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition – open throughout the month – will serve as a hub for creative exploration and participation. Arts & Culture Month kicks off with the Opening Night Reception and comes to a close with a poetry and music event hosted by Emeryville’s former Poet Laureate Sarah Kobrinsky on Sunday, October 26th in the exhibition courtyard.

“Thirty-nine years is a record breaking run for a small, largely volunteer arts organization,” said juror and exhibition designer Kathleen Hanna. “I am privileged to be a part of Emeryville Celebration of the Arts for the last fourteen years and always excited to see the variety and scope of the work produced in this very special community by the Bay.”

The exhibition is open October 4 – 26, 2024, from 11am to 6 pm, Wednesdays through Sundays at Public Market Emeryville, located at 5905 Shellmound Street, Emeryville, CA.  For details, directions, and Emery-go-round stop information, log onto www.emeryarts.org or call 510/652-6122.

Each year the exhibition space is donated by a local Emeryville business. For the fourth year in a row, Oxford Properties Group has generously offered the space for the Annual Exhibition at Public Market Emeryville. Situated at the south end of this lively artisan food destination, exhibition visitors will find ample parking and dining options and even a Saturday morning Farmer’s Market.

The Experience, Richmond: East Brother Beer Co. Tam Taproom

The Experience:

Your new trail to table hangout!

Be part of the excitement at the foot of Mt Tam! From the welcoming front doors to a cozy dining room built for neighbors and friends, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a cold pint and a bite to eat.

Restaurateur Bill Higgins and East Brother Beer Co. have created Mill Valley’s newest gathering place—a lively restaurant, sports bar and beer garden where craft, comfort and community meet.

Chef Michael Siegel’s menu pairs with every pint and cocktail: Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst and schnitzel, beer-battered fish & chips, smashburgers, crisp salads and wood-fired pizzas.

10–15 rotating taps highlight German and English-style brews, in addition to light Bo Pils and Mexican Lagers, rich Oatmeal Stouts, hoppy IPAs and dark Bavarian lagers. A full bar offers a selection of classic cocktails with a twist. Big screen TVs throughout the space make it the perfect spot to catch the game with friends.

Whether you’re craving a casual night out, a hearty meal or a perfectly poured beer after a day on the Dipsea, Bootjack or Tennessee Valley trails—Tam Tavern is here to be Mill Valley’s new trail-to-table hangout. Located at 152 Shoreline Highway in Mill Valley.
