What a lovely venue! The Clipper Yacht Harbor is filling up with fantastic boats, tents, a stage and so much more as they prepare for the inaugural Sausalito Boat Show. And a weekend of fun October 13-15, down at the Clipper Yacht Harbor on the Sausalito waterfront! An extraordinary experience celebrating the sea, local culture, and community awaits you.

This show has come together in a truly grass roots style, with support from so many local businesses, individuals, sponsors, organizers and volunteers. And the Sausalito Yacht Club has offered up volunteers to make sure you have a fabulous experience. They can’t wait to see you all this weekend!

Seminar Alert: Saturday October 14^th, 2:30pm – Ben Rifkin joins them for ‘Marine Navigation’ seminar.

This marine navigation seminar will review the latest and greatest in boating apps such as Navionics, Marine traffic, Storm radar, Compass, Windy, Barometer and Weather underground. Download prior to the seminar.

Seminar Alert: Sunday October 15^th, 1pm – Jennifer Hinkle from Resilience Racing joins them for ‘Sail Racing 101.’

For new and experienced sailors who want to start racing as skipper or crew. Learn about:

Setting up a boat and crew to race
Figuring out Ratings, Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions
How the start sequence works and basic start and upwind tactics
Basic spinnaker & downwind tactics
Understanding a race course and how to develop SF Bay “local knowledge”
Improving & figuring out how to make your boat go faster

Extending beyond boats, this event will feature local food vendors offering seafood specialties and classic California cuisine, accompanied by live music from Bay Area favorites including Fog City Swampers, Juke Joint Band, The Millionaires, The Cruz Boys and Matt Bolton. This truly is an event for the whole family, including activities and crafts for kids.
