Yay! It’s Oyster Sunday!

What goes great with Oysters? Bubbly does!

Sunday may be the time to try one of Riggers Loft’s R&B Cellars Sparkling Wines like their Method Champenoise Blanc de Blanc. Their “Chanson des Etoile” (Song of the Stars) is made from 100% Chardonnay from Clement Hills in Lodi. This bubbly is crisp and clean. Though designated a Blanc de Blanc, it is much more of a Brut lover’s bubbly, with tiny bubbles, bright and crisp, and just the right amount of fruit and creaminess to balance. (Methode Champenoise is made exactly the same way as the great champagnes of France, which means that there is a secondary fermentation in the bottle.)

Besides their regular menu and some great seafood items like Ahi Poke Tacos and Baja Fish Tacos, Riggers Loft will be serving oysters. Oysters on the Half Shell are served with cocktail sauce and. sauce mignonette. Grilled Oysters New Orleans Style will be served with butter, red bell pepper and Parmigiano and Romano cheese.
