Wondrous Brewing

The Experience, Emeryville: Wondrous Brewing Co. Destination

The Experience:

A world of quality in every glass!

This brewery has been a destination for beer enthusiasts ever since the doors opened. They specialize in a celebrated range of German-style lagers and classic West Coast hoppy beers – right here in Emeryville. And it may now be luring even more visitors from around the world.

In his Forbes magazine article ‘Beer Destinations Around the World Worth Traveling For In 2026’, Sr Contributor Jim Dobson names Wondrous Brewing among the contenders. The premise of the article is that travelers used to plan their trips and happen to find a brewery where they landed. Now folks plan their trips around specific breweries – from Baja California to Bangkok, to London to Emeryville!

Wondrous Brewing – Bay Area California. “Wondrous lets its beer do the talking. Founder Wynn Whisenhunt trained in Germany and worked at well-known Northern California breweries like Sante Adairius and Lagunitas. You can taste that skill in every glass. In a beer world that often rewards bold flavors, Wondrous is different because of its precision.” – Jim Dobson, Forbes Magazine, May16, 2026.

Congratulations Wynn!

The Experience, Emeryville: Wondrous Brewing January Brew

The Experience:

Fresh Emeryville beer to start your year!

January started out all about what’s new on tap. Wondrous Brewing’s 2nd batch of ‘Wonder Cut’ is a West Coast IPA 6.4% abv, hopped with Citra, Idaho 07, Nelson & Mosaic, is now on tap. They were just feeling this hop combo on brew day and went with it! Mega fresh fruit and dank citrus on the nose, with the classic, punchy West Coast hop flavor and dry, resinous finish we all love.

They also tapped the final keg in existence of their first ever Barrel Aged Barleywine release ‘When the Poet Dies’. So, get down to your local craft brewery and have a taste or two.

And for those of you who enjoyed their Wondrous Hell beer at the 2024 Celebration of the Arts Opening Night at Public Market – just want you to know that they won the Bronze Award for Wondrous Hell in the category of International Light Lager at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival!

Hang in their fun outside patio where you’ll find community and dogs are welcome. You can order from Los Moles, Good to Eat Dumplings, KYU2 or Rotten City Pizza – all close by.

The Experience, Emeryville: Wondrous Brewing Chill

The Experience:

Fresh IPA in Emeryville!

What’s on tap at Wondrous Brewing Company? A fresh batch of their tried and true Single Cuff West Coast IPA.

It’s a West Coast IPA 6.6% abv. Hopped with Citra + Mosaic. Fans are happy to have this beer back on tap and in cans. This is the second in command in their ‘Cuff’ series, a sequence of beers they make that utilize the king and queen of PNW hops, Citra + Mosaic! Bringing in punchy hop flavor and bitterness and that tropical fruit, citrus delight that you all know and love!

If IPAs aren’t your thing, try their High Tider or Dot in the Sky which are both West Coast Pilsners. Grab your friends and get down to Wondrous. It’s a gem of a brewery with a chill vibe. Hang in their fun outside patio where you’ll find community and dogs are welcome. You can order from Los Moles, Good to Eat Dumplings, KYU2 or Rotten City Pizza – all close by.
