The Experience, Point Richmond: Primorosa Beauty Party

The Experience:

Mimosa’s, self-care and beauty at Primorosa Salon – sounds like fun to us!

Primorosa’s owner, Eyerim, invites everyone to join this fun and friendly get together on February 9th from 4-8pm – just RSVP and her staff will take care of all the pampering. And if you’re in the mood to try something new – or just learn –  this is definitely the party for you. Elevate Healing and Persimmon Life are co-hosting  the event to provide everything IV Hydration to Botox to peels, Lipo shots and hair conditioning treatments.

Primorosa is collecting donations for a domestic violence abuse victims beauty party happening in February. Self-care items will be gratefully accepted on 2/9, and a wish list is available online if you’d like to give a gift to lift the spirits and self-esteem of others who are going though difficult times.

There are lots of great shops, restaurants and pubs near Primorosa’s Salon Point Richmond location in case you want to grab lunch before the party, or extend your night with drinks and dinner, or just take a stroll and do shopping or people watching. Of course you can check out SF on the Bay listings for ideas!

The Experience, Oakland: Pizzichillo – Gordon Glass

The team of Bruce Pizzichillo and Dari Gordon open their studio doors to the public only a few times a year.

The rest of those 365 are spent focused on nothing but creating stunning heirloom quality pieces along with beautiful, and sometimes whimsical, functional glassware.

If you are planning a holiday shopping excursion, or simply love to look at beautiful glass art, add the studio to your itinerary. You’ll find vases, bowls, lighting, jewelry, sculptural and wall art, and other items that you or your giftee will treasure.

Pizzichillo and Gordon’s work is sought after by collectors and galleries worldwide and has been featured in numerous publications. Inspired by nature, the rich, romantic colors of opaque and transparent glasses transport you, if only in spirit, to a place of wonder and awe.

Holiday Open Studio Hours:

November 25, 26 and 27
Saturdays in December: 3, 10, 17 (May be extended through December 24)
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Check their calendar for other open studio dates throughout the year – typically these fall in May, July and September, in addition to November/December.

When the studio is closed to the public, you can shop by appointment, and online.
