Pizzichillo and Gordon’s work is sought after by collectors and galleries worldwide and has been featured in numerous publications. Inspired by nature, the rich, romantic colors of opaque and transparent glasses transport you, if only in spirit, to a place of wonder and awe.

Fall Open Studio Hours:

Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10
10am – 4pm

Check their calendar for other open studio dates throughout the year – typically these fall in May, July and September, in addition to November/December.

Where: 5th St between Harrison & Alice St in the Jack London Brewing District

Who’s pouring? This historical district features Buck Wild, Cellarmaker Brewing, Dokkæbier, Hella Coastal, Oakland United, Original Pattern and Shapeshifters. In addition to the six Jack London based breweries, Tenma, Temescal, Ale Industries and Sante Adairius will be pouring. Beer Muse, Hop Bay Area, and Waldear Kegerators are joining the party!

“I’ll be serving up freshly brewed hop water on tap,” says Jamie Waldear, founder of Waldear Kegerators. “This is my favorite brew fest in the Bay. The vibes are right for showcasing some of the best beer in Northern California. I’m stoked to see brewery homies but also beer related vendors. And it’s fun to watch the beer community expand beyond just beer.”

Music:  You can expect a live set from “Oakland Stoner Metal” band Blackwülf as well as local DJs from the Sound & Society crew, and more!

Meet the Captain

At the young age of 23, she received her 100-ton USCG master’s license, raced on J24s throughout the Caribbean, and became Second Mate for Lindbald Expeditions, sailing in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and Baja’s Sea of Cortez. Laura is passionate about teaching women to sail and instilling in them the confidence to be the captain of their own ship! Her first mate is Madeline Somers. Questions?
