We visited Passage Nautical last week and met some happy boaters! They’re venturing out on the newest addition to their charter fleet, the magnificent Jefferson 53’ motor yacht. You can cruise the Bay in complete luxury in this beautifully crafted yacht. And you can bring 11 of your friends along, as your captain glides the yacht effortlessly through the sparkling waters of the San Francisco Bay.

Show your guests San Francisco from the water and immerse yourselves in the breathtaking panoramic views. Passing by the historic waterfront, you will be captivated by the picturesque scenery and iconic buildings. The Golden Gate Bridge looms in the distance as you cruise past the majestic sights and lush flora of Angel Island and the infamous Alcatraz Island. You may even hear the bat crack as you pass a Giant’s home baseball game.

Birthdays, proposals, pride celebrations, anniversaries are all fun to toast on the San Francisco Bay.  Or just grab your friends and get out and enjoy a Sunset Sail with a wine and food tasting. You’ll find vases, bowls, lighting, jewelry, sculptural and wall art, both stunning heirloom-quality pieces and  functional glassware in bold designs and blooming colors that will bring the joy of spring indoors.

Pizzichillo and Gordon’s work is sought after by collectors and galleries worldwide and has been featured in numerous publications. Inspired by nature, the rich, romantic colors of opaque and transparent glasses transport you, if only in spirit, to a place of wonder and awe.

At the young age of 23, she received her 100-ton USCG master’s license, raced on J24s throughout the Caribbean, and became Second Mate for Lindbald Expeditions, sailing in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and Baja’s Sea of Cortez. Laura is passionate about teaching women to sail and instilling in them the confidence to be the captain of their own ship! Her first mate is Madeline Somers. Questions?

The Experience, Oakland: Montclair Art Walk April 22-23

The Experience:

It’s an Outdoor Boutique. It’s Handcrafted. It’s an Art Alfresco Experience!

Join the villagers and artists on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 from 10am – 5pm. Plan your day around this sidewalk art show and have lunch in Montclair. The Art Walk celebrates art in the outdoors with more than 40 artists from the Bay Area and beyond displaying their handcrafted works in the Montclair Village nestled in the scenic backdrop of the Oakland Hills.

Connect with the artists and find a unique treasure for gifting or adding to your personal collection.

Paintings, sculptures, home & office décor, artisan bags and clothing, unique hand-crafted jewelry and more.  Presented by the Montclair Village Association, this free open air art gallery offers a chance to get to know the participating artists and learn the stories behind each piece they make.

Among the celebrated artisans participating in this year’s event is Gila Sagy of Gila Glass in Concord. Her work is a balance of function and beauty, fitting in the mainstream of contemporary design, yet singular in its direction, composition and style. Her work is inventive and one of a kind. “Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. I love plants and flowers; I love the ocean and its waves,” says Gila. “Another source of great inspiration are people. Their comments, questions and reaction to my artwork are very important to me. It’s a great privilege being able to meet art lovers and enthusiasts in person at art shows and events.”

The contemporary and unique glass designs that Gila creates use the traditional manner of fusing in a kiln. More info on her Facebook page.
