The Experience, Alameda: Lighted Yacht Parade

Join the Parade. Board the Ferry!

WHEN: Saturday, December 3, 5:30pm

It’s the Season of Giving Hope! Encinal & Oakland Yacht Clubs present the 46th Annual Lighted Boat Parade to benefit the Oakland. Firefighters Random Acts and the Alameda County Community Food Bank.

The parade will start between the Fortman Grand Marina’s public pier and the Wind River’s buildings (the parade staging area). Starting at 5:30pm the boats will proceed down the Alameda side of the estuary past the judges at Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs.

Then past Pasta Pelican, cross to the Oakland side, past the Port of Oakland and Scott’s Seafood, turn and make its way back to the staging area at Wind River.

You can still enter your boat in the parade! Don’t have a Boat? Take the Alameda Main St Ferry!

Hop onboard the SF Bay Ferry and experience the parade up close and personal. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for each member of your party. Boarding is first come, first served. 200 seats will be available to walk-up riders. Boarding begins at 5pm. Hangar 1 will have mini cocktail flights and vodka tasting flights for a wonderfully relaxing Sunday afternoon, as you enjoy tasty bites from Eat Real’s food trucks

Purveyors include Makers, Merchants, Crafters, Designers + Artists, as well as Non-Profit Organizations. Discover handmade, locally sourced, small batch, eco-friendly, conscious offerings and products..

Event notes:

Hangar 1 Distillery is an indoor/outdoor venue located in Alameda on the Historic Alameda Naval Base. The outdoor marketplace area and food/drink area is kid + pet friendly, but the outdoor Runway Spirits bar patio is 21+ — indoors is kid-friendly, except in the tasting room + bar areas.  The event will take place, light rain or shine. And you can stay and soak in the beautiful sunset over the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges!

The Experience:

Tunes + Brew + Good Eats on Sunday!

Join your friends Sunday afternoon (Nov 13) at Almanac Beer Co out in the beer garden for some live rock music (no cover) from Four Times West band from 2-5pm. This East Bay Classic Rock band performs hits from the 60s, 70s and beyond. Relax with a pint and some grub.

It’s the perfect day to check out Almanac’s fresh beers. Their FLOW Pale Ale is available 12 months of the year along with fan-favorites LOVE Hazy IPA, LOUD! Hazy DIPA, and TRUE Kölsch.

And you’ll be glad to know that you are in good hands for your lunch or early supper. Scolari’s Good Eats will be serving up their regular menu plus some great specials from 12-7pm. Sunday may be just the right day for Scolari’s Classic Cheeseburger or the Good Ol’ Boy.
