The Experience, Richmond: East Brother Beer Co. New Release

The Experience:

A Winter’s Treat is Here!

Do you know the backstory of a Porter? Porters were the preferred drink of street and river porters working in Britain in the 18th century, hence the name of this style. This beer was the delight of these laborers at the end of their strenuous days and stuck to their bones during the chilly winters. In and out of fashion over the years, the porter evolved and became popular again in the last two decades.

East Brother Beer Co. is about to release this year’s Porter, just in time for the cooler days ahead. It’s made with Halycon Malt as the base, and Crystal, Chocolate, and Black malts that add flavor and complexity. A German Lager yeast boasts flavors of dark fruits, like plums and cherries, chocolate, and molasses. It’s both refreshing and comforting. A warming beer that pairs with winter fare such as heavy stews and soups, grilled meats and indulgent desserts.

November 17th is the release date. Mark your calendar and get down to the taproom to bring on some autumn and winter comfort!
