The Experience, Richmond: Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front Holiday

The Experience:

A fun & meaningful holiday outing!

Though this can be a busy and overwhelming time, with a “to-do” list as long as a winter’s night, the true Rosies know how to roll up their sleeves and tackle it with poise and a jolly demeanor.

Rosies and Rangers decorated the Visitor’s Center for the season and invite you to come and learn about the WWII home front heroes through stories of resilience and unity. Many faces, many stories, many truths, weave a rich tapestry of experiences from this era of opportunity and loss.

Plus, they want you to take a fresh look at their Gift Shop. The Rosie National Park visitor center is a great place to bring your out-of-town guests or just go visit them again, if it’s been a while.

New staff, new merchandise and stocking stuffers for the national park and Rosie the Riveter fan on your shopping list.

The views of the water are fantastic and the Bay View Trail that runs by the Visitor Center is a wonderful place to walk with family & friends. Bring a picnic and make an afternoon of it.

Their doors are open during the holidays except for Christmas and New Year’s days!

Open Daily: 10am – 5pm
Entrance: There is no fee to enter the park visitor center.
Parking: Available in the Ford Plant parking lot
About
The “Home Front” refers to the collective efforts of civilians in a nation at war, working to support military forces overseas. During World War II, Americans united to meet this challenge, transforming industries, communities, and lives to power the fight for freedom. President Franklin Roosevelt’s vision of “The Arsenal of Democracy” inspired unprecedented social and economic changes, fueling the Allied victory and reshaping American society.

The Experience, Richmond: COBIZ Delivers

The Experience:

Artists inspire a creative culture!

‘Collective We’ opens today, May 29th through October 23rd. It’s a powerful and intimate showcase of contemporary figurative art by two international voices from across the globe: Kateryna Bortsova (Ukraine) and Aran (Iran).

Through painting and photography, they share deeply personal reflections on identity, memory, and what it means to belong—no matter where you come from. At a time when connection and community matter more than ever, ‘The Collective We’ reminds us that even across continents, we carry shared emotional truths. Opens on May 29th– book your visit in advance! https://www.eventbrite.com/…/duo-exhibition-collective…

RevArt and CoBiz Richmond are thrilled about their partnership which was designed to empower local artists and inspire the Richmond community. By merging RevArt’s focus on supporting artists with CoBiz’s mission to uplift under-invested communities, this collaboration will create meaningful opportunities for artists to thrive as entrepreneurs while enriching Richmond’s cultural landscape.

The Artists:

Kateryna Bortsova is a classically trained painter and graphic artist whose dreamlike figures are often partially veiled by balloons and blooms. Her work explores the beauty and ambiguity of self-representation, merging classical technique with philosophical depth.

Aran (Nima Raadparsa) is a self-taught Iranian photographer whose emotionally charged, socially conscious portraits form a quiet yet powerful chorus. Formerly a photojournalist, his art now focuses on identity, race, and community.

In partnership with RevArt, COBIZ Richmond is thrilled to announce their exhibition,

The Experience:

Provenance Dinner: A supper club evening for founders, leaders & thinkers

Join Chef Arnon at Anaviv’s Table with Dia Bondi, author and leadership communications coach, for a Provenance Dinner on Wednesday, April 16, 6:30-8:30pm.

What is a Provenance Dinner? It’s a facilitated discussion woven through a thoughtfully curated fine dining menu to help you gain insight into how your core origin story influences and empowers your leadership.

It’s not a workshop. Nor is it a class. It’s an opportunity to walk away with a new perspective and an expanded network of like-minded thinkers, as you enjoy this private supper club experience. Anaviv’s Table – a communal supper club –  is tucked away in a collection of industrial buildings in Point Richmond.

This Provenance Dinner brings together 12 founders, leaders and independent professionals in a lovely venue for an origin story exchange designed to expand networks and deepen relationships —all while enjoying a fabulous meal and wine paring prepared by Chef Arnon, formerly of Chez Panisse, co-founder of the Plant to Plate Program and Owner of Sailing Goat.

Why is it called a Provenance Dinner? Come and you’ll see.

Bring a friend and reserve your seat at the table. Registration covers the cost a bespoke prix fixe multi-course dinner, and wine pairings, tax and convenience fee—nothing more, nothing less.

*Chef Arnon can accommodate all dietary restrictions
