Saul Trujillo is a child-like man ready to light up any room with his awkward energy. The winner of 2018 Sacramento Comedy Competition uses his obscure observations on his own life that will keep you scratching your head and laughing at the same time. He has done stand-up comedy all over California, Arizona, Montana, Washington, and Oregon.

Saul is primed to be at Riggers Loft!!

The Experience, Richmond: Sailing Goat Restaurant Opens

The Experience:

Sailing Goat Restaurant Opens this Weekend!

It’s your new local getaway! Sailing Goat Restaurant will enhance your experience of the beautiful and serene ambiance on the water that is untouched by the rush of life. Only the rush of wildlife peaks your senses as you observe the ospreys out on their hunting trips or the goats walking around close by the meadows.

How did Chef Arnon Oren, owner of Anaviv’s Marketplace and now Sailing Goat, come up with the name?  “It was a collaborative effort with the folks at the harbor and everyone around us. We wanted somehow to capture the idea of cuisine from the land and the sea. And we wanted the name to be a little whimsical. Fun.”

Seaside communities inspire the menu with coastal dishes from all over the globe. Just add Arnon’s twist of California Cuisine and sustainability mindfulness to create your unique culinary experience.

What to expect?

Down at Pt San Pablo Harbor, you’ll relax with wonderful vistas and the gentle lapping of water. Items from the sea and land and gardens will guide the menu. Some cooking will be outside. Stews will simmer in large pots on the stove. Besides seafood dishes, fish & chips and wood fired pizzas, other land items will include local fresh chicken. And, they’ll be serving up regional small batch craft beer and wines.

Their menu will change with the seasons and “…will evolve as we get a little more in the groove,” continues Arnon. They will continue to buy fresh produce from their local farm and will also buy from those who tend the vegetable gardens at PSPH. What inspired Arnon to launch the Sailing Goat down at the PSPH was the setting on the water. “The location is magical. I like the location and I felt right about the people at the harbor.”

There are pathways along the water and houseboats, hiking paths up the hill with fantastic views. So many options for you, your family and friends when you visit the Sailing Goat! General Manager Ashley Emery, Chef Ross and Chef Arnon can’t wait for you to come in and say hello! Weekend hours: Fri – Sun, 11:30am – 8:30pm.

PS And here’s a secret many do not know: At +4 tide, there is a small beach down at the harbor! So check your tide book.

The Experience, Richmond: East Brother Beer Co. Announcement

The Experience:

Springtime and the Drinking is Easy!

The folks at 1001 Canal Blvd are excited to share their new brew with you – East Brother’s Blonde Ale. This is their first new Core beer to join the lineup of their award-winning beers since inception! Blonde Ale is a light-bodied easy-drinking beer that aligns perfectly with their classic approach and will appeal to many.

Behind the Scenes: Brewing Blonde

The Production Team at East Brother Beer Company spent the past six months crafting the perfect recipe for the Blonde Ale. The result is a crisp and clean ale with subtle malt sweetness and a dry finish, making it incredibly drinkable and perfect for any occasion.

“We’ve been thoughtful in our approach to growth and staying true to our mission to brew the classics. Bringing a Blonde to our Core lineup has been a labor of love for our team, and we’re confident that it will quickly become a favorite among all beer lovers,” said Chris Coomber, co-founder of East Brother Beer Company.

The beer is brewed with a combination of pilsner and wheat malts, which give it its light color and body, and is hopped with East Kent Goldings and Loral for a low to medium hop bitterness. It’s a sessionable (lower in alcohol) beer that pairs well with sunshine and good company.

Enjoy the clear skies, grab your friends  and get down at EB for the new Blonde Ale and tasty bites! Their spring hours keep the taproom open longer into the evening.

The Experience, Richmond: East Brother Beer Co. Bo Pils

The Experience:

Tee Off with a Bo Pils by Your Side!

Spring is here and we are all back outdoors. Many golf courses around the Bay Area are  carrying East Brother Beer. It’s the perfect golf cart companion and rumor has it that EB beer increases precision in your chipping and putting!

Their award-winning Bo Pils, featured here, is a Bohemian style, golden with a lemony noble hop character — light, grainy finish.

Did you know? Czech Pilsner, or Bohemian Pilsner, is the result of a shift in brewing mentality in early 1800s Czech brewing, which was brought on by contamination issues with the ales they brewed at the time. A German brewer brought to the city of Pilsen lagering method and bottom-fermenting yeasts perfect for cold fermentation. Pilsner Urquell is considered the original example of the style.

East Brother’s Bo Pils is available in 16oz and Sequoia Cans, Sixtels and Kegs. Check out their available beers here.  And note that a cold pint of their award-winning Gold IPA is now in its brand new format–19.2oz Sequoia Cans.

What’s on Tap – along with food trucks.

  • BO PILS – golden, noble, lemony
  • RED IPA – hoppy, malty, easy
  • RED LAGER – amber, biscuity, crisp
  • OATMEAL STOUT – rich, roasty, smooth
  • GOLD IPA – hoppy, bright, dry
  • SERVE CHILLED – Cold IPA collaboration with 21st Amendment

Enjoy the clear skies  and get down at EB with your friends for great beer and tasty bites! Their new spring hours keep the taproom open longer into the evening.
