The Experience:

It’s an Outdoor Latin Dance Party!

Get ready to kick off your holiday mojo with an outdoor Latin dance party featuring Bululú, Saturday, December 11.

Bululú, a dynamic Latin music ensemble led by Venezuelan-born percussionist and composer Lali Mejia showcases a live and flavorful repertoire deeply rooted in Venezuelan and Caribbean influences. The Band will perform a live set of holiday dance favorites—including the popular ‘gaitas’, Venezuelan holiday music, salsa, merengue, parrandas, tamboreras, cumbias, and more!

Doors open at 1:30pm with food and drink available for purchase. Adry’s Bakery, a Venezuelan caterer, will offer specialty treats—both savory and sweet, plus selected drinks and cocktails on premises.

Notes:

Since seating is limited, guests will need to present physical proof of vaccination, or a 72-hour COVID-free test upon entering the premises. In thoughtful regard for others, guests will also be encouraged to keep their masks on for the duration of the event, except while eating or drinking.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the theater, with an upgraded ventilation system and open windows.

Almanac was founded in 2010 by Damian Fagan and Jesse Friedman. All of Almanac’s beers are brewed, aged, and packaged at their 30,000 square foot brewery on the former Alameda Point Naval Airbase on beautiful Alameda Island in Northern California. Give the Gift of  Art for the Holidays!

Visit the Frank Bette Center for the Arts November 27 – December 18 and enjoy a cultural experience while shopping for holiday gifts and supporting local artists.

Every year the Frank Bette Center for the Arts turns its galleries into a wonderland of art created by talented artisans. They will
feature one-of-a-kind jewelry, paper fiber arts, prints, ceramics/mosaics, wood, glass, and framed two-dimensional art works 12’x12” or smaller. This year they will have some surprise pieces for sale.

The first reception will be held Friday, November 26 from 6-8pm and they will be open Thursday afternoons as well as Friday- Sunday 11am-5pm during the month of December.
