The Experience, Emeryville: Bay St Emeryville Weekend Movies

The Experience:

Let’s go to the movies!

Americana opens Fri, Aug 15, The Grateful Dead 2025 documentary plays tonight. Superman is playing as are a ton more films.

But, check this out…only if you are ready for horror. From New Line Cinema and Zach Cregger, the wholly original mind behind Barbarian, comes a new horror/thriller: Weapons, written, co-produced and directed by Zach Cregger.

Storyline: When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

Rotten Tomatoes Summary: 94% on the Tomatometer!

Critics Consensus: Zach Cregger spins an expertly crafted yarn of terrifying mystery and thrilling intrigue in Weapons, a sophomore triumph that solidifies his status as a master of horror.

Audience Says: Loaded with bold elements that make it not just a great horror film, but a noteworthy film overall, Weapons is ultimately an impressive, genre-bending experience that’s original, entertaining, and satisfying despite its faint air of ambiguity.

See you at the movies!

AMC. You can book a dinner and a movie when you embark on an epic adventure at Bay St’s AMC movie theater. Check out the many different cuisines available at Bay Break Dining Terrace and beyond. Bar & treats await you inside the theater. Not to mention all the great movies you want to see. Plus, popcorn.

The Experience, Emeryville: Bay St Emeryville Opening

The Experience:

All we have is NOW. Welcome & relax!

It was an exciting morning early on June 3rd as co-owner Mica Meyers  and GM Jacqueline Victoria opened the doors to welcome city officials, Bay St Emeryville executives, Emeryville Commerce Connection members, family and friends to the official opening of their new boutique massage salon.

Mica introduced City Manager Latanya Bellow who complemented the owners (co-owner Attica Jacques could not attend, but her mother did) on their beautiful salon and the significance of this business to the community. Vice-Mayor Sukhdeep welcomed The NOW Massage and expressed how much it meant to Emeryville, the city of art, innovation and wellness.

Jacqueline told us about her passion for helping people better their lives and how her new job working with Mica and Attica was a perfect fit for her life mission.

We had a libations blessing of the new salon focused on mastering your dignity and gathered for the official ribbon cutting.

Assembled in the photo l-r: Chad Smalley, Community Development Director, co-owner Mica Meyers, GM Jacqueline Victoria, ECC (Emeryville Commerce Connection) CEO Mary Lou Thiercof, City Manager LaTanya Bellow and Vice Mayor Sukhdeep Kaur.
