Missing Bucci’s at Lunchtime? Maybe Not Any More. 612one Opened its Doors in Emeryville!

Welcome to 612one Fusion Culinary & Fine Cocktails. The brick interior and high industrial ceilings are the same as in the long run of Bucci’s, but the look is now a polished modernism with metal tables and a sleek bar. The kitchen has been reconfigured so the dining room space seems a lot more airy and can seat more guests.

But what is really different is the soft opening menu. It’s a fun take on Asian Fusion, as both owners come from Thai restaurant backgrounds. For example, their Wasabi Calamari is lightly breaded calamari rings with an aioli-wasabi type dipping sauce. Crisp Roasted Pork Belly is served with tamarind curry and French baguettes. A great place after work for appetizers!

And the focal point is the beautiful bar. It makes you want to have a cocktail party with your friends there. Besides six beers on tap, bottle beer and wine, 612one offers up some great cocktails. There’s the Dirty Hollis made with The Real McCoy Aged Rum, coffee liqueur and lime or the 612one Negroni with St. George Botanivore Gin, St. George Bruto Americano and Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth. Spicing things up is  the T-Mex made with Hornitos Resposado Tequila, Tamarind and Paprika.

More choices with the Bar Menu. Hot Honey Wings – crispy chicken wings caramelized with organic honey and Sriracha (hot chili) sauce, Basa Fish and Chips with Cajun French Fries and 612one Dynamite – the  Dynamite is fresh shrimp and salmon topped with spicy miso soy, chili, garlic, lime and coriander.

The lunch menu  has a Grilled Chicken Burger and a Spicy Linguine Pasta with salmon, garlic, asparagus, mushrooms and basil. A Grilled Prawn Salad with spicy chili lime can be paired with their Rib Eye steak on the dinner menu. According to patrons, the Spicy Pasta Basil is a hit – Stir-fried linguini pasta and jumbo prawns with chili, garlic, asparagus, mushrooms and sweet basil. All very creative combinations of fresh food. Since they are still in their ‘soft opening’ phase, you can let the proprietors, Rawitpan Ussawagasemjit (Ohm) and Gary Srisawat (Chef), know your favorites. Their hours are easy to remember: 11am-10pm Mon. – Sat. (510) 285-6854
