What to eat? Saucy Asian features a wide variety of delicious bowls, poke and California-inspired fusion burritos and tacos. Each item is made with fresh ingredients including truly unique blends of sauces and flavors from kimchi-chipotle aioli and homemade gochujang sauce to Korean styled pickled jalapeños and fried rice cake (ddeokbokki) drizzled with gochujang aioli.

Inspired by a childhood that fused his Korean family roots with his American upbringing, founder and Bay Area native Andrew Shinn wanted to share his Korean-American culture  with the world, through a delicious blend of new, but familiar foods. He can’t wait to meet you!

Prepare for a culinary journey through Chinese and Japanese comfort food in this warm setting upstairs at Bay St in the Bay Break dining terrace.

You will be intrigued by the variety of ramen all made with fresh ingredients. Vegan? Try their Vegan Shio (Light Veggie Broth) – Gluten Free Ramen Noodles, Tofu, Bean Sprouts, Bok Choy, Mushroom, Green Onions, Bamboo Shoots, contains no animal products.

For a starter, try their Asian Kale Salad – Organic baby kale mixed with roasted kale & tossed in a toasted sesame dressing. Fans rave about their Chicken Karaage appetizer- Fried boneless marinated chicken served with a soy-mayo dip. They have a beautiful bar serving up Japanese beer, local wines, Sake and other non-alcoholic beverages like Japanese Creamy Soda.

Bay St is thrilled to welcome Pippal Regional Indian to its enclave of great restaurants serving unique and traditional cuisines at their reimagined shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the heart of Emeryville. Pippal will take you on a culinary journey through India! Plus offer up a seasonal cocktail menu centered on Indian ingredients.

A changing menu of regional Indian dishes infused with local produce will introduce you to some new flavors and comfort food. Lots of shareables!  Which are especially fun at their standing bar around an outdoor fire pit with a view of the San Francisco Bay.  A warm and welcoming setting awaits you! Live Salsa Music And Dance Lessons Heat Up the Plaza at Bay Street on Sundays until Summer’s End!

Have you always wished you could Salsa? Learn from the best at Bay Street in Emeryville!

WHAT: Bay Street spices things up with the return of Salsa Sundays, a music series featuring a live salsa band and a dance floor with plenty of room, every Sunday in May and through the end of summer. From pros to newbies, everyone is invited to turn up the heat and enjoy FREE festive salsa lessons provided by Timba Heat professional dance instructors at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Watch them at UC Berkeley!

Grab dinner at one of Bay Bay Street’s restaurants after working up an appetite on the dance floor. 

WHEN: Beginning Sunday, May 6, from 2:30 to 6pm and ending Sunday, August 27, Salsa Sundays will take place every Sunday afternoon. Who knows, you may become an Expert Salsa Dancer (ESD) by the end of summer!

Emeryville’s Bay St. Hosts Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute Dance Party!

WHAT: Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute

For the first time ever, Bay Street is hosting a Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute event! Bring your dancing shoes on Tues., Aug. 29, and be ready to sing-along to your favorite MJ songs including “Black or White,” “Man in the Mirror,” “ You Are Not Alone” and many more.

Celebrate the life of Michael Jackson with your friends at Bay St. This special evening will feature live performances of Michael Jackson songs, as well as dance performances from local dance studios, culminating in a dance party that everyone is invited to attend. Plus, there is a Michael Jackson costume contest – a special Michael Jackson prize will be awarded to the best costume. Also, snap photos at the event and post to social media with the hashtag #baystreetemeryville. The event will be hosted by Oakland-based Dance-A-Vision Entertainment.
