The Experience, Alameda: Almanac Beer Co. Expands

The Experience:

Tap those Award-winning Brews in Unique New Environments!

Besides the Taproom and Beer Garden, Almanac now has a new Backyard and Lounge to enjoy your beer in whichever environment fits your mood.

They transformed an empty 8,400-square-foot grass lot into what is now their very own backyard, replete with a 1967 Airstream bar, shade structures, games, amplified music, and food trucks. The Backyard has its own restrooms and plenty of free on-street parking. You can bring your own picnic or order from the rotating food trucks.

The Lounge was transformed from a 1,000 sq foot office space into a chill vast room with soaring 25’ ceilings and 15’ sliding doors that open onto the outdoor beer garden for plenty of fresh air and sunshine. You’ll feel right at home with the eclectic art, jungle of indoor plants, faerie lights, electric fireplaces, and uniquely odd antiques. The Lounge is Almanac’s first 21 and over space, while the rest of the areas remain family friendly and open to all ages.

Both The Backyard and The Lounge are open Saturdays 12-10pm and Sundays 12-8pm. t: 415-992-3438 Ext. 1

Join Almanac this weekend for Rocktoberfest, featuring the 1980s New Wave Cover Band – the Spazmatics!

About Almanac Beer Co.

Almanac was founded in 2010 by Damian Fagan and Jesse Friedman. All of Almanac’s beers are brewed, aged, and packaged at their 30,000 square foot brewery on the former Alameda Point Naval Airbase on beautiful Alameda Island in Northern California. Their portfolio of beers spans the gamut from delicate oak-aged lagers, to nuanced barrel-aged sours, decadent stouts, and hazy IPAs.

The Experience, Alameda: Alameda Island Brewing New Hours

The Experience:

You Must Visit This Taproom!

From the moment you step foot inside the newly remodeled taproom, the beeristas bring you the best experience possible while you sip a pint of your favorite beer. They are passionate about their brews and their brewers work with a wide variety of ingredients so you understand  what really makes their beer so great.

The  brewery’s main production facility and original taproom are located at 1716 Park Street, which was the original site of the Cavanaugh Motors building (1948), the second Chrysler dealership ever established in California. Owners Matt and Bill chose this building for its unique history as well as its great location, right off the Park St. Bridge.

Staff at Alameda Island Brewing hope you will swing by for a pint and check out what they’ve been up to the past few days inside the taproom. You can even ‘Build Your Own 6-Pack’ to take your favorites home. New hours: Tu – Sa 12 – 10pm; Su 12-7pm

The Experience, Alameda: Almanac Beer Co. Brand New Beer

The Experience:

Ready for Sunshine + Opportunity?

Fans are raving about Almanac’s classic Sunshine & Opportunity barrel-aged sour.

With a new citrus twist, this mixed-culture farmhouse ale was aged in oak with hundreds of pounds of California-grown mandarins, Meyer lemons, limonettes, pomelos, and kumquats. Dried hibiscus flowers finished off the brew, creating this blush-colored beauty!

“This new edition of Sunshine & Opportunity,” says Brewmaster Phil Emerson, “adds a combo of hyper fresh Californian sun-kissed juicy citrus and a subtle fruity, tannic structure from hibiscus flowers. Tart like a glass of lemonade and refreshing like a glass of tea. Inspired by pools, porches, and picnics.”

From grain to glass, the folks at Almanac brew a bold and delicious range of fresh and barrel-aged beers. Visit Alameda Point and hang out in their beer garden to sip this new summer ale. Food Trucks daily: Scolari’s Good Eats or Santa Torta. Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 12-7pm; Fridays & Saturdays, 12pm-8pm. 415-992-3438 Ext. 1

Sunshine + Opportunity is also available for pickup and shipping statewide.
