The Experience, Emeryville: Trader Vic’s Cinco De Mayo

The Experience:

Happy Hour All Night in the Lounge!

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with your friends on the water. Thursday May 5th Trader Vic’s is throwing a ‘Señor Pico’ style fiesta in the Lounge! Live music, courtesy of DJ Mayky, will fuel your all night Happy Hour. The Trader is serving Mexican inspired food & cocktail specials!
Music starts at 6pm. The Lounge area is for walk-in seating only on a first come first served basis!

About The Trader

Decades ahead of his time, Vic “The Trader” Bergeron chose to offer Chinese dishes alongside the then-contemporary Continental cuisine, creating the original fusion menu. Today, Trader Vic’s continues the tradition with an ever-evolving menu featuring dishes from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, and Japan.

In 1944 Trader Vic’s concocted a rum drink and served it to a guest who, upon tasting it, said “Mai Tai Roa Ae!”…or “Out of this world!” in Tahitian. The Original Mai Tai was made with lime, orgeat, rock candy, orange curaçao and aged rum. Today, the Mai Tai is the most famous rum drink in the world and you can only get the Original at Trader Vic’s.
