Join Riggers Loft Wine Co on Sunday, Sunday, April 9th, from 1-6pm for the great Easter “Eggschange” and help raise money to support our young people in the Richmond PALs program (Richmond Police Activity League).

Here’s how the Eggschange works:

• Donate $2 or more for an Easter Egg with a prize in it!
• Win $ off a glass of wine or a bottle of wine!
• Win prizes that include cider and Chef Frank’s food

Feast on the amazing cuisine of Chef Frank Miller and the Loft Kitchen, including wood fired pizzas, smoked meats, fresh salads, spicy New Orleans style shrimp boil, luscious burgers, and so much more. And the best part is that besides R&B’s exquisite sparkling wines and Chardonnay, you have a choice of over 25 different red wines, including a Bordeaux Blend, a Mourvèdre and several Zinfandels – all made locally – urban winemaking at its best!

Sunday’s Live Music by Key Elements will create the vibe!

Key Elements is a Latin Jazz ensemble comprised of some of the SF Bay area’s most seasoned instrumentalists who perform exceptional original and Latin/Brazilian Jazz classics. Their music has a fresh, new, vibrant flair with infectious exotic rhythms. You just can’t stay still!!

RPAL programs meet young people “where they are,” offering a variety of structured educational and recreational programs and activities that are challenging, yet enjoyable to their members. Their services and resources are essential to many young people who frequent the one-stop youth center. Whether young people need a meal, homework assistance, a safe place to go after-school, or just need a caring adult to talk to, RPAL is responsive to their needs.

PAIRED: French Style Pinot Noir with Sweet, Spicy Ribs!

A Large Plate of Ribs (6 ribs) & a Glass of Pinot Noir are a match made only at Riggers Loft. Sound good? When you buy your ribs, you’ll get a ticket for $2 off your glass of Pinot Noir.

How did this unique pairing come about? We asked Chef Frank Miller. “Recently, while drinking R&B’s gorgeous new Pinot, it hit me! The Barbecued Ribs I had made earlier in the day – with my sweet, spiced BBQ sauce – would be an amazing pairing. And, indeed it is! I’d be hard pressed to find a better pairing now!”

The Ribs – Seasoned with Chef Frank Miller’s BBQ rub, then slow smoked for 6 hours with oak wood, and finished with their house BBQ sauce. Sounds dee-lish!

The Pinot Noir – Aromas of ripe berry and plums…flavors of dark cherry, vanilla and baking spices

Come and get this pairing experience! “As wine pairings go – I honestly feel that there’s nothing better,” continues Chef Frank, “than a good French style Pinot Noir and barbecued pork ribs.”

Satchmo’s Ghost -a swinging and bluesy band. Inspired by the “ghost” of Louis Armstrong and his passion for swing and blues, this 6-piece band often takes on a “big band” sound. Lots of songs to dance to as well as tasty, soulful blues tunes.

Sat, Feb 25, 2-5pm

Hawaiian Royalty Music – While staying true to the Hawaiian cultural roots, their sound is a blend of Island Reggae music, covers, original music, and the intertwining of other musical genres. Feel good lover’s rock set to Hawaiian language songs, are executed and performed in a compelling reggae feel.

Sun, Feb 26, 2-5pm

Bryan Girard Trio – Pianist Mark Rossi and bassist Terry Miller join veteran saxophonist Bryan Girard for an afternoon of top-notch acoustic jazz. TThe group will be performing some rarely-played gems from the standard jazz canon as well as lots of Latin and a dose of funk.
