The Experience:

Get a taste of clay!

Take up a new hobby and get your hands into it! In this class designed for folks with no previous experience, you will try various hand-building methods including pinching, coiling and slab-building. Simple glazing will also be covered. Students will learn the feel and properties of clay, as well as gain a basic understanding of the ceramic process. Clay and tools will be provided. Only register for this class if you are brand new to clay!

About Arts of Point Richmond

The Arts of Point Richmond (AOPR) is a self-governed volunteer association established in 2008 by Altha Humphrey to bring local artists and the community together in a meaningful way.

AOPR collaborates with Point Richmond businesses and organizations, hosts a variety of interest groups and sponsors an annual Holiday Faire, Art Exhibitions plus the “Taking It Outdoors” (TIO) banner projects. They are fueled by the continued energy and enthusiasm of their artist members.
