ECC’s partner – Emeryville Community Assistance Program(ECAP) – Needs Volunteers!

ECAP is in their new digs and has lots of food donations to hand out and are in need of support during this especially busy time. Thanks to support from the Alameda County Food Bank, Trader Joes, Pak ‘N’ Save, Target and others, ECAP is poised to deliver, but they need the support of the community to help distribute food.

They have openings for two-hour volunteer shifts, to sort and distribute food to those in need – whenever it fits your schedule – Mon – Sat from 10am – 4pm. Sign up: [email protected] or contact Vickie Jo Sowell 510-459-9026. ECAP is located at 3610 San Pablo Ave in Emeryville.

The Experience:

Emeryville SNAP Relief Food Drive: 2 Days left!

201 students in the Emeryville Unified School District are currently not receiving their SNAP benefits. The City of Emeryville partnered with ECAP and other community partners to support our community until SNAP money benefits are restored. The City is asking you to jump in and help.

Here’s what you can do:

Collect non-perishable food for the Food Drive Wednesday, November 5 – Friday, November 14

- Canned Goods: Chicken, tuna, luncheon meat, tomatoes, vegetables, legumes, and similar items.
- Shelf-Stable Items: Milk (shelf-stable), rice, canola or olive oil, dry beans, oats, cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, stock or broth, bouillon, peanut butter, and other pantry staples.

2. Donate to ECAP – DONATE NOTE: write EUSD in the ‘write a note’ section

3. Drop off non-perishable food at these locations:

City Hall Lobby – 1333 Park Ave
AC Fire Dept #34 – 2333 Powell St
AC Fire Dept #35 – 6303 Hollis St
Senior Center – 4321 Salem St
ECCL Lobby – 4727 San Pablo Ave
ECCL Pool – 1170 Steve Dain Dr
Emeryville Police Dept – 2449 Powell St
