The Experience:

Oyster Sunday on the Patio!

Come out to what folks say is one of the best patio experiences on the Bay. Sunday is Oyster Sunday at Riggers Loft from 1-7pm! You can have oysters two ways:

  • OYSTERS ON THE HALF SHELL – Served with cocktail sauce & sauce mignonette
  • GRILLED OYSTERS NEW ORLEANS STYLE – With butter, red bell pepper and Parmigiano & Romano cheese

Riggers Loft suggests that you pair your oysters with a glass of sparkly! Not up for oysters? Enjoy Chef Frank Miller’s scrumptious cuisine – wood fired pizzas, smoked meats, fresh salads, seafood, burgers and more!

And this Sunday from 2-5pm, listen to the tunes of the RPM3 Jazz Trio, a highly swinging band devoted to personalized renditions of jazz classics, standards from the Great American Songbook, and Brazilian gems. The members are Bay Area jazz stalwarts: Jazz guitarist/arranger/composer Tony Corman, bassist Karl Hartmann, and drummer Gerry Kennett.

Reservations highly recommended, especially when the music is playing.

The Experience, Richmond: East Brother Beer Co. News

The Experience:

New Belgian Triple Release!

In honor of the Trappist monks brewing tradition, EB is proud to release East Brother Beer’s Belgian Tripel, the second ale in their seasonal Freighter series. Behind the mystery of the monastery, a traditional Trappist beer lineup would be made up of barrels labeled X (single), XX (dubbel), and XXX (tripel) to denote the alcohol strength – very simple branding for three core beers.

True to their brewing ethos, EB’s Tripel is straightforward: Just malt, hops, yeast, and a little bit of “clear’ Belgian Candi Sugar, to ensure the rich straw color, and lighten the body of this clean and flavorful beer. For a beer with such humble beginnings, our Belgian Tripel truly blossoms in the fermenting process, given that it’s a yeast-driven beer. The finished beer has complex notes of cloves, bananas, and fresh dough with a delicious warm hint of alcohol.

East Brother Beer’s Belgian Tripel captures the spirit of a time and place half a world away; it’s a seemingly complex beer that’s deceptively easy to drink. With summer in full swing, pour our Tripel alongside your favorite burger, sausage, or birria taco. There seems to be very few things this beer doesn’t pair well with!

You can find East Brother Beer’s Belgian Tripel limited release at theirr Richmond Taproom or at your favorite retailer, bar or restaurant.
