There are action figures of presidents as well as models of airplanes, DC3, the Constellation, the Clipper, Jenny, and even the Mayflower. You’ll find many jigsaw puzzles of artisans paintings and maps. Look for the Hummingbird Feeders from Mexico, hand-made soaps from California, and milled soaps from England and France.

And Whales & Friends will help you create that spirit, starting with Halloween accents for your home. “We have some cool Halloween ideas for you,” says co-owner Christine Gonsalves. “Our suggestion: Fancy up your front windows for Halloween. We may not trick or treat this year, but we can window gaze to see what Ghosts are out and about.” You can pick your favorite Halloween pillows, ornaments, and other fun décor to create some Halloween cheer.

And before you leave, do give yourself a treat by browsing their curated collection of hand crafted jewelry including their own beautiful line – Bamboo Jewelry. It’s hand crafted by fusing kiln fired powdered glass onto a sterling silver foundation, a centuries old process known as cloisonné – showcasing favorite birds, marine animals, panda bears and butterflies. They have a great selection of puzzles for those stay at home nights along with a spectacular selection of gifts – everything from silly socks to one of a kind blown glass vases. Their theme of whales and their friends, hints that you will find  something for cat lovers, dog lovers, turtle fans, and bird watchers. Whales & Friends invites you to enjoy free gift wrapping  and an eclectic mix of jewelry, educational toys, and books. You can enhance your home and lifestyle with fun, nature-oriented, and beautiful items from their collections. “We are so happy to see our customers again,” says co-founder Christine Gonsalves, “and they are so happy to see us and be out.” Their South Shore Center store is open Tuesday – Sunday 12noon – 7pm.

“We have hundreds of great jigsaw puzzles and new sterling silver with Swarovski Crystals jewelry. Sometimes we need a little sparkle!” continues Christine. This painting by the Russian artist Olga Suvarova has lush colors and beautiful details. It has been one of their favorite jigsaw puzzles for celebrating the Arts. There’s a vintage line for fun and learning a few things about bones, rocks and our National Parks. Whales & Friends has lots of puzzles on their FB page and you can order for curbside pickup at the door to their South Shore store from 12-7pm. If you want to browse the store, you will find whales and their friends in a beautiful airy atmosphere full of color and interest. You will find an eclectic collection of garden sculptures, music boxes, fun and educational toys and books, wind chimes, contemporary art glass vases, beautiful hand crafted jewelry, knitted wool sox, scarves, lots of hats, eclectic purses and so many more nature inspired gifts, including wood inlay business card holders and Nativity scenes made from olive tree wood in the Holy Land of Jerusalem.

But first pick out some ornaments for each special person in your life – it will definitely get you in the spirit. Old fashion TVs and trailers capture the fairy-inspired traditional holiday celebrations in the forest, with bears and rabbits dancing around the Christmas Tree. They range in size from 7″ – 21″ across. And when you turn the knob on the TV, the animals and people start moving to holiday music! And look closely for fairies in the shop.
