The Experience:
Bubbly wins Double Gold, ‘Best of Class’ Award!
A big shoutout to Kevin and Barbara Brown! In June 2021, their R&B Cellars’ “chanson des etoiles” Methode Champenoise won a Double Gold, Best of Class award at the Orange County Commercial Wine Competition.
Chardonnay drinkers will love it. Their “Chanson” is made from 100% Chardonnay from Clement Hills in Lodi. This bubbly is both vibrant and soft with a luscious fruit presence. It is designated Extra Dry, but it is much more of a Brut lover’s bubbly. Tiny bubbles, bright and crisp, with just the right amount of fruit and creaminess to balance the crisp acidity.
Methode Champenoise is made exactly the same way as the great champagnes of France, which means that there is a secondary fermentation in the bottle.
Riggers Loft is both tasting room and wine bar. Friends and patrons are welcome to visit and relax, eat and drink, or listen to live music on most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays And don’t forget their flights of wine: $12 for four 1-ounce tastes of wine. The tasting fee is waived with a $35 bottle purchase. Plus, The Arlington is serving seasonal California cuisine, with small and larger plates.
Riggers Loft is home to owners R&B Cellars, with guest wineries: Carica Wines, Wachira Wines, Barrel + Ink, Prima Materia, and Far West Cider Company. Hours: Th 4-7pm; F 4-8pm; Sa 1-8pm; Su 1-7pm. You can make a reservation online or by calling (508) 692-8414.
Out on the Patio: Masks will no longer be required.
Inside the Winery: You will be required to wear your mask while ordering from the wine bar or walking around inside. When seated at your inside table, take your mask off.
Honor System: As California is doing, we too will go by the honor system. Please, if you are not fully vaccinated, continue to wear your mask!
