Scolari’s Launches New Food Truck at Almanac!

They officially launched the new ride August 6. It had been a long time coming..

Come see them at Almanac Beer Co. Every day except Tuesdays. Their menu includes all your favorites – Scolari’s Classic Burger and its Vegan Burger, the Good ‘Ol Boy Sandwich, Peruvian Chicken Wings, Dave’s Bean & Avocado Salsa and more!

While there, you may want to pair your Scolari’s Good Eats with  the FLOW Pale Ale, one of their recent releases, or the Love Hazy IPA. Enjoy the waning days of summer out in their patio or backyard in the fresh air and sunshine. What are you waiting for?

The Experience:

Uva Bruja Debut!

This mystical bright red brew was summoned forth in collaboration with the sorcerers at Casa Bruja Brewing in Panama City, Panama. Uva Bruja (“grape witch” in Spanish) was created by aging Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice in oak barrels for over six months. This unique brew was finished with a dash of coriander and pink Himalayan salt, imparting that classic gose-style brininess.

What is a gose-style beer? It’s a combination of two components – it must be tart, tasting fermented, and it must be salty – a hint of briny. If you have ever had a sour unfiltered beer, you have an idea of the taste. The pronunciation: “Goes-uh”.

With Uva Bruja you’ll enjoy notes of tart vinous grape and soft tannins in each ritual sip, and be sure to pair it with full moons, black ravens, and your favorite coven.

Uva Bruja is available now at Almanac’s taproom and in the online store.

Almanac is expanding its year-round fresh beer portfolio with a new West Coast pale ale honoring a style that put California craft beer on the map. FLOW Pale Ale (5.5% ABV) fits right into the Almanac family of fresh beers available 12 months of the year along with fan-favorites LOVE Hazy IPA, LOUD! Hazy DIPA, and TRUE Kölsch. Almanac is raising money to feed Ukrainians through World Central Kitchen. Peaceful Pilsner is a hopeful lager, brewed in solidarity with Ukrainians, and all people suffering from the impacts of war.

This Bohemian-style pilsner directly supports the work of World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit that’s first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. You can find Peaceful Pilsner at the taproom this weekend, on the webstore, and at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers Market this Saturday! About WCK

Within days of the initial Russian invasion, WCK began serving meals to families traveling long distances and waiting for hours at various border crossings in Poland and then in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and Slovakia. At the same time, urgent food needs quickly grew within Ukraine. They started working with local restaurants and bakers with their partner volunteers to provide large quantities of meals for the Ukrainians.

“It’s a universal human right to live free from hunger,” states founder & chef José Andrés. At first it seemed overwhelming. “But many complex problems have simple solutions. Sometimes you just need to decide to do something. Sometimes you just have to show up with a sandwich or some warm rice and beans. You’d be amazed at the power of a plate of food. It can change the world, and so can you.”
